Reece Smith, pictured with Lifeguards at the Amanzimtoti Beach donated the Sand Cruiser wheelchair to the City so that other people with disabilities could enjoy the surf as much as he does. EThekwini Mayor, Councillor Cyril Xaba, accepted the donation by the Smith family at the full council meeting on 2 December 2024.
